Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare
![]() |
Wimbledon Greyhound welfare is a charity which re-homes Greyhounds that have retired from racing. People sometimes have misconceptions about Greyhounds but they are graceful gentle loving creatures. Pictured opposite, relaxing in my garden, is Rachel who after a very successful racing career retired aged 5. Rachel and her two younger 'sisters' Jessica and Clover are the lucky ones. When I last visited the kennels there were 50 Greyhounds desperately looking for a home and someone who can give them the affection they crave. If you think you may like to adopt a Greyhound or have a couple of hours spare to act as a volunteer walker, just contact W.G.W or your local kennel, where you will be welcomed with open paws. |
